Hello Everybody,
I have a question. Why do we try to use IR Led's in the first place?
What is the advantage of the LED to be IR.
Moding cams and finding wide angle IR LED's cost extra work.
The question may sound silly at first but think for a sec.
Yet, I noted two things myself.
1. Isolating other light sources by filtering the cam but IR wavelength will sneak through.
2. Not to emit light from your head to your surroundings. (You may look like a freak)
So... If...
1. Camera settings, and threshold bar does the job very well, I can isolate other sources perfectly, especially with PS3 Eye Cam.
2. Simply I do not care.
So what else? Do IR LED's have a extra performance boost or something else that I do not get?

Hi,
Ir-LEDs with modified cam allows you to use tracking under every light-conditions, even with home light-sources in back (window, lamp).
If you get your PS3 head-tracking running properly without,...no problem, go ahead and use it as it is.
Verify if you got three control lamps (down right corner in Freetrack) green in every light situation. If one or more are flickering red, you got problems.
Ir-LEDs does not provide extra frames, just saver tracking.
