Are you aesthetically pleased more by red dots? Do you have issues? No? then the white dots will do the job just as well.

No. I don't want RED dots to improve the beauty of the simulation. I just want to find out the reason.

So how do I update my model ?
Do you mean that my model is ok, if and only if it shows dot colors in RED ??

Well see the 3-dot models of other members here.

I said your model is obsolete just because it's a 4-dot one. The con of your model is that it has more probability that dots intersect, leading to some issues in the meantime that two or more dots are intersected by each other.

But if you don't have any problems it's fine then (although I can't do much about the psychologically-adverse white dots).

What did you do with your webcam? Removed any IR filter or added a visual light filter, or didnt you adjust it at all?

I replaced its objective lenses with one optimised for the infrared and near-infrared spectrum. Aside from that I did nothing more.

Your webcam color space/compression is set on I420, try  RGB 24 ,(if available) and they will be red.
But this change nothing for tracking.

I recently find out that Freetrack  actually uses LESS CPU time when resolution is 640x480 and color is RGB then in 320x240 and i420 color is used.
My specs:

AMD athlon 2 x3 435 @ stock 2.9 ghz
4 bg 1333 mhz ddr3
ge force GT640
web camera MS VX100 (under 20 euros), 30 fps at 640X480

As you see, low budget and old pc configuration
incredibly!
