Just tested the demo of Dirt2. Very nice game.

The buttons for the camera view are customizable (opposite to NFS shift), anyway i can't run PPP virtual joystick because i use vista 64, so I can't try to emulate the headtracking.

Anyway, dirt 2 is supported by track ir (it is the list on natural point website), and freetrack detects the dirt 2 demo as a track ir compatible software.

The point is that in the game nothing works. The same was with ARMA 2, freetrack detects arma 2 as a trackir compatible software, and it doesn't work. After I used the fix / patch in this forum, i could use freetrack in ARMA 2.

Is that the same problem? Do we need a fixed .exe to use freetrack in dirt 2? Is dirt 2 only compatible with trackIR, but NOT freetrack?

Ive got some trouble with Win7 32bit , freetrack and Dirt2.
NFS Shift runs real slow with the Camhack and freetrack, but it still works. After generating the virtual joystick (hdi confirm controller) Dirt2 wont start.

No DirectX issue. No other hardwareproblem.

There is no patch to make it work. There is a hardware config file in username/mygames/Dirt2/Hardwaresettings but you can only edit some graphic settings (Very importent for using DX11 effects under DX9)

I installed WinXP SP 3 and tried to use Freetrack in Dirt2. There is a real Problem. You can choose the G25 setting (which i need ) but there is no way to set the key for  viewing around.  Create a manual keysetting by using the HDI Controller ( Freetrack) works fine but i cannot :( without my g25 or Keyboard settings.

Im going to test some keyemulate software for binding all controlers into one :)...

maybe it works

have a good day

Has anyone had any luck getting freetrack working in Dirt2? I can't find a proper solution.

if I load GlovePIE, the game doesn't' crash, but I can't find a script that will actually work in dirt2 to make it "work"
