Hi
I can find SFH485P on my local stores, can i use NTE3027 instead???

here is the datasheet:
http://www.nteinc.com/specs/3000to3099/pdf/nte3027.pdf

As per datasheet, NTE3027 have 45 DEG of viewing angle and 940nm Wavelength (peak)... so in theory it should perform sigthly better than SFH485P (Obviously I´m not an expert on this matters).

I made a 3 point clip using NTE3027 ir leds, but when testing with a Creative NX my clip don´t work...

I haven't removed the ir filter and i really thinking on buying another web cam but i want to be sure if my clip is just fine

these are my clip´s dimensions
60
   60
   80
80

thanks in advance

well, i will answer myself....

The NTE3027 aka ECG3027 can be used with free-track and they work nicely, at least for me. Just be aware that apparently there are two version of these IR Led, one old version wich only have +/-22° of angle and an upgraded version with +/-45°... i think i got the old version cause the specs that came printed on the envelope of my IR leds (Fv 1.5v -- Fi 100mA), the upgraded version is rated 1.3v at 150mA.

Anyway my free-track setup is working very nice, i think i can tune it more to get it working even better.... by the way i found that in my case using RGB instead of i420 give me better IR Led isolation cause the led pattern is less blurry...

Regards
