hello there,
I'am pretty new to Head tracking and never used it before. Now i saw and advert that there was free software for Headtracking with a webcam. I have got a microsoft VX1000 webcam. And since i'am a total noob with making electronics i was looking for a LED system that i could buy.
Then i saw a topic about the Trackclip Pro for about $40 and my question was will i be able to use Headtracking whith my VX1000 webcam and this Trackclip pro ?? Someone told me that the Trackclip needs a TrackIR to connect to the pc with the USB is this true ?? or can i get it to work with just the Trackclip Pro ??

I don't know if it's possible with this cam, but I used track clip pro with one Philips SPC900 and now with wiimote....and all its perfect. Remember that tack clip pro has IR leds, and you need to use one IR filter to capture this leds.

As long the trackir shoot a beam of signal & the ability of the webcam to received & finally FreeTrack to interpret the information, I think it should work....

Did anybody managed to save a profile for the TrackClip Pro?
I'm trying to use it but it requires a lot of tweaking.
I got the measures done but having trouble in choosing the right offest.

Yes, its possible if you put one IR Filter in your webcam. (I THINK)
(I was use TrackClip Pro with Philips NPC900 without problems...its perfect for freetrack, and now with wiimote, and 0 problems).
