Hello friends,
I was quite pleased to see a new version pop up after using 2.1 for a while. I'm really eager to use 6DOF in FS2004 and this issue is noted in the update notes of 2.2.
Firstly I needed to update my PC with DirectX 9c to get FreeTrack to work and that's fine. But now I'm still stuck with only the roll, pitch, and yaw movements like before.
I did see on a YouTube post that you can take the TrackIR program, download it, install it, and take the TIRViews.dll file and copy it into the FreeTrack directory. Is this what it takes to get FreeTrack to allow for full 6DOF in FS2004?

Thanx in advance!
Cheers,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,
Yes, that's exactly what's required to get 6DOF working in FS2004.

Thanx!
I tried it and after a little fumbling around I got it to work! At first it was very jumpy but I think it was because I had both the Freetrack output and TrackIR outputs enabled. I disabled the Freetrack one to only leave the TrackIR and it seems to work now. Is this correct? Which control output woudl you recommend?

Cheers,
Christopher
