Hi!
I use vista and tortoise SVN 1.4.8 and I see only readme.txt When I try to checkout svn repository I got error Error: Invalid svn:externals property on 'C:\repository\fasttrack': target involves '.' or '..' or is an absolute path Maybe U simple make zip of source and give me the link. And also I use C++ and don't have delphi to recompile project maybe U simply create DLL that have 3 funtcions 1. Init_Free-Track 2. Get_position_and_orientation 3. Close_Free-Track Thanx in advance Bye |

Don't use http:// but https:// as in the url I gave.
Freetrack native interface will only be available in V2.2. Checkout https://camil.dyndns.org/freetrack/trunk/Sources, and see /FreetrackClient for usage |

Same problem here. I've tried to use https as you've said and no go.
I've also tried to authenticate with my username and password for this forum, still no go. Do we need a special username and password? There is only a readme file under Sources directory. |

I don't mean to sound silly, but for some reason, this SVN thingy isn't working out for me either.
I have Tortoise SVN 1.5.2 installed, I click on 'SVN Checkout', paste the URL you gave in the 'URL of repository' field, it starts downloading something, then stops, asking for authorization. What should I do? |

Yes, that worked. Thank you.
Just wondering: why does the website provide a download link to the source-code without explaining how to download it? It's really not such an obvious thing. People get confused by this. Why not write a short note explaining how to get the source-code? |

To change Delphi code to C# there is a tool:
https://www.turnsharp.com/try-it.aspx I doubt it will work effectively yet we might give it a try. |

If all you need is head-tracking for your game, you really don't have to convert all of Free-Track. That would be an overkill. You're better off reading Alter's paper describing his pose estimation algorithm (which is used in Free-Track for 3 points), then look in Pose.pas for the "TPoseObject.AlterPose" function. The syntax isn't THAT different, so the code should make sense to you. Plus, you need some DirectShow wrapper to handle the webcam for you, because it's a huge head-ache. It takes some tweaking to get good head-tracking like Free-Track, but you'll probably manage to get it done. (I managed to get it done, so why wouldn't you?)

Hi,
I would like to use head tracking for my applications with out the complication of understand, develop and debug the code when Free Track have taken care of it -thanks a lot-. Is there any possibility now or in the near future to access to 6 DOF data in a simple structure through "Share Memory Area"? |
