hey one final question.
Had I used a 3 slot AA battery holder, would I still have needed the resistors? NVM, I read back some and seen you already said why. Thanks again.

IM BACK!!!
Dewey, I think im going to wire the USB plug. This battery pack is very heavy. But besides that. What do I do to get better frame rates. I cant get over 7. :( |

For USB U will need an usb power supply (better to protect from motherboard). Schema: For frames rates, see if nothing using the webcam on background. If not : bad webcam or plan to use BT+Wiimote

Huh? |

The filter kills my framerates. I pulled the filter cover off and my frames go up to 28. HOWEVER. Now Im getting occasionaly light patches that give me the red dot. The movements are not smooth in game.
Also: How do I increase the distance of the turn? |

Couple of options there: 1st leave the battery supply until we get frame rate solved. You could lengthen the leads so the pack would fit in a shirt pocket. Click on stream and verify: I420, 352x288, frame rate 30 then click apply. Click on camera and click default, then apply. Click on Advanced and uncheck Automatic Gain Control, set exposure to 1/30(s) and click apply. Now click start and tell me what you get for frame rate. You should be getting around 28-30 fps. You never did tell me if this has auto or manual focus. This is very important to know! Look in your manual to find out. |

I dont have I420. My options are YUY2 and MJPG
I dont see an advanced tab. Will find out about auto focus. I seem to be getting 30 frames and staying green with picture film filter. If I move my head back and forth a couple times, I get an occasional red dot sputter. Particularly if I move my head out of the camera view. How do I increase the response of the actions? For instance, turn my head a little and spin further in game. Can you explain the curve to me?

I researched the camera and it is manual focus.
Adjust your focus for the sharpest IR pattern at your normal game play distance. It is good to know you get 30 fps. Did it have autoexposure on it? Are you using the Logitech camera software or just the driver software. Normally you do not want their software running, only the drivers installed. I gather that you never get white dots only red ones? If you click on camera you should get a settings menu that has two tabs. One tab is device settings and the other is advanced.

I was using a filter from a floppy disk, I removed that and used a film filter from negatives.
no logitech camera software I do get white lights in the Camera/Camera Control(advanced) tab - I changed exposure to neg 1. That made a HUGE difference. So now how do I edit the outcome of the action. for instance. If I want to look left, i dont want to turn my head 90degress, Id only like to turn it 30, but would like it to look like 90 in game. Whats the curve for? |
