Can you disable auto exposure? If you can't, look at the Software FAQ under: 'My webcam's Auto-Exposure (AE) is on but the option is greyed out so I can't turn it off!'

Compatible webcams:

And you've tried different USB ports?  Sharing ports or hubs with other devices can cause a bandwidth bottleneck and lower fps.

I have no trouble getting the 30 fps with this Trust cam. You have to remove the IR-filter. That's the little piece of glass that's in the lens when you screw it out of the webcam. However; it's a piece of crap that will not work good. It has a strange stutter that I can't get away. My IR leds are bright but when moved the 4 indicators in Freetrack are stuttering and the movement on screen isn't fluid.
Next to that, the viewing angle is very small. Cam isnt't that bad overall. Just not for FT.

I also got this cam today.

Before that i used a modded Eyetoy Camera, which was very good, but sucked in terms of getting it attached to my TFT..lol.

Anyway i got a WB 1400  for about 5 EUR on Ebay to give it a try, cause there were some good voices over the Freetrack page.
Also there are no vista64 drivers for the eyetoy cam, so with a look into the future I installed the Trust Cam.

But.....well...i also got 12 FPS max. Even after Tweaking around a bit, modding the Cam (no IR Filter anymore) there is nothing to get out of the cam.

What can i do else ?

Back again :)

I visited the TRUST Driver Page again and discovered that there are :

1st :    Two different models of the WB1400T, i have the one with the Item
           Number 14382-02.
2nd :    Then, for the 14382-xx there are two drivers. One is especially for the -02,
which is the one i used initially.

BUT : I downloaded and istalled the other one (the "not -02"   =)  ) and yeeahhh i got back to 30 FPS :)

So all with the low FPS on WB1400T just change your drivers :)

c ya

Also make sure that your Framerate setting in the "Stream" dialog box isn't set to too low. Mine was set to 15fps which obviously caused some problems...
