Ok so i bought a logitech quickcam chat webcam from radioshack earlier this week for about 30 bucks and modded that (removed IR filter, glued piece of floppy to the front). I also bought a few crappy LEDs, not knowing what to do at the time.

Well earlier tonight i ordered several SFH485 LEDs from digikey. I also ordered some of these 15 ohms 5% 1/2 watt resistors (http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail?name=15H-ND). I will be using a 6V 300mA power supply for this setup.

Above is the link to the diagram from the LED wizard. My first question is whether I have all the correct parts for this build and whether i got the right resistor. Also, will i need to sand down the leds to make them flat top?

Also, when i go to solder everything, do i go positive to negative, or negative and end up at positive? Thanks for the help in advance, and i hope im not asking too much

3LED Clip
Power Supply Voltage- 6V
LED Forward Voltage- 1.5V
LED Forward Current- 100mA

When wiring LEDs together in series you take awire from +ve terminal of the battery to the +ve leg of the first LED (wiring the appropriate resistor in line. Then take a wire from the -ve leg (the shorter leg marked by a flat side on the LED) to the +ve leg on the next LED (the longer leg on the LED is the + leg). Repeat the process for the third LED ending with a wire from the -ve leg of the third LED returning to the -ve terminal on the battery. i.e.

battery + - + - + - battery
