Need some help to disable AE on vx1000. I have tried Eneblebutton
and trick with lamp but that only cut exposure to 8 (
Reinstalled driver , freetrack , find some exposure in the registry
edited RG_DWord to 0, nothing helps.
If someone have some idea ,you are welcome )
  Thanks!

By the way i have 1.3 driver for camera.

Do you have problems getting 30 fps? I can't get my AE down to zero either, but still receive 30 fps. As long as the value is not changing dynamically and it's somewhere near zero (mine is 24) you should get full fps.

Hi RomD,
I have 30 FPS but i have a lot of jitter , that make me think AE is not
disabled like it looks. That makes stutters when I move head .
I'll try older driver. Happy vx1000 owners ) can you post driver versin.

Off line Www

Here is what I do (it works for me, so presumably it will for anyone else too).
I am using latest driver (1.40.164.0 ?) though it also worked on the old one that was on CD (cannot recall version).

Using EnableButton app to make auto-exposure checkbox selectable:

1: Start up freetrack
2: Click Camera button to access the control page of webcam
3: "Enable" checkbox (mine starts unchecked as that is how it is left when I finish playing)
4: Drag slider to the left
5: Check the box (so it has a tick)
6: Drag slider to the left again
7: Uncheck the box
8: Click apply and OK

I do not even have to use a strong light source, though generally there is a fair amount of ambient light either from outside or from lightbulb on ceiling.

I hope this helps.

p.s. Might still show some jitter fluctuation, but it has never affected my gaming experiences so I do not mind.

p.p.s. I generally have my track-ir clipped on while doing this and it will be shining IR light into my cam. Perhaps that is helping to prevent AE from jumping back to 24?

p.p.p.s. VID: 045E, PID: 00F7

i did all of that but the driver i have force exoosure to change.
when exposure is on 8 tracking works perfect but eventually driver force it to 24
and then I have stutters(AE is dissabled ((( with enablebutton
I had low down exposure with light, than uncheck AE ,its unchecked in registry (0) but driver force it again(((
I DESPERATLY NEED DRIVER THAT WORKS)))
could someone please give me the link or upload, or make torrent
with driver that dont force AE
I can find only newer driver and I think newer more automatic stuff)

I also have this problem.  I bought this webcam today and removed the IR filter, and loaded up freetrack to see if things would work by testing with a remote.

I'm using enable button but the auto exposure keeps going up to 24 and I'm lucky if I get 7fps max.

Please post your webcam's PID so that different models of vx-1000 can be distinguished. How to find PID(Logitech site but procedure the same).

Strangely enough I can get 20 FPS now, and I havn't changed anything (that I'm aware of).

Still not 30 though and its not as smooth as I'd like it to be.

On a side note I don't think my clip version works very well.  If I look up or down too much my LED's overlap and 3 become 2 and it stops working...

I might make the hat version I think, it looks alot easier heh.

did you flattened leds ?  if you dont have wide angle leds you have to
use sandpaper.
