Class : Apprenti Posts : 3 Registered on : 13/02/2010 Off line	Hi I can't believe just how difficult it has turned out to be trying to find somewhere I can buy SFH485P IR LEDs. I am in Australia and the RS Components here list the SFH485P as "discontinued". http://australia.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=searchProducts&searchTerm=SFH485P&x=38&y=6 This seems to be also the case in the with RS Components UK: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=0585236 The alternative they suggest has a 40deg andgle instead of an 80deg angle which really sux. I have actually found ONE online store that will deliver to Australai but the lead time is 10-30 days!/ http://www.seeedstudio.com So does anyone know of an online store that delivers worldwide? Class : Apprenti Posts : 6 Registered on : 02/02/2010 Off line	You don't need to buy fancy pants wide angle LEDs, you can take any narrow beam IR LED and just file the lens down flat to give a wide beam. It's super easy and the results are just as good, if not better. These are the cheapest ones you can get on RS, 40cents, pack of 5, that's $2.00, free local shipping.
