Well just installed vista again. This time I was able to install the latest bluesoleil without errors. Guess what?! Its working and wow does this thing perform. Its so damn smooth, 98-102fps no cpu usage hardly. Tons of jitter but to doesnt seem to matter :D

Hey, i bought a new bluetooth device and the wii remote seems to stay connected while im ingame now. I think it was my previous bluetooth device. Here is my current bluetooth device that i bought and works.

I can't get the 'start' button to come active either.

I can connect the wiimote according to my bluetooth device manager. I can even get some of the other applications  that use the wiimote to run but others won't recognise it.

Any one know why the start button won't light up? I need to figure out what is causing the problem (bluetooth stack, vista, freetrack or whatever)

The wiimote shows up in the freetrack camera select pull down menu when it's connected but not when it isn't, suggesting that freetrack can see it. So why can't it connect?

I'm using a built in dell wireless 355C Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR module with microsoft enumerator. I think getting a bluetooth usb thingy will interfere with the built in software and BleuSoleil says it's incompatible (and what I hear about built in bluetooth seems to corroborate this)

Drivers all up to date as is windows I think. This is very frustrating.

If you're in the UK get a BT dongle from tescos for about £7. I'm sure you can disable the built in one some how. Bluesoleil got my working had the same problem as you.

I have that problem too. Start button is grey, even though I can use my wiimote as a mouse with glovepie and play crysis/left4dead2 with it, and track my led's with wiipresenter(and it sees all three easily). I hope they fix this problem, cause I can't and won't use that bluesoleil program after what it did to my machine last time I tried, and don't understand why that would be the only issue when I can use the wiimote fine with at least 4 other programs. I think its a bug with the default windows stack on vista (64?) or the way this program is trying to talk to the wiimote through the default stack.

I'm using a logitech bluetooth adapter that came with my mouse/keyboard, and it works fine with up to 6 devices. I only have my mouse/keyboard and the wiimote connected. I'm using Vista 64 4GB Ram, C2D 3.ghz, with nvidia gtx260 and official nintendo wiimote.

Maybe someone can look into the glovepie sdk and find out how they connect to the wiimote so well and ask if they could share their techniques? I don't know programming or I would try.
