Kestrel, have you made any progress on that 3 LED construction?  I already ordered one from Track IR but I know a few more people that would gladly order one from you rather than build their own.

Ginko, like Naish I am also interested in your settings.  Post them if you read this.

Are you guys having problems with the TrackClip pro with freetrack or why do you want his settings? Or is it just to optimize? I want to get one cuz my previous attemt to build one failed.

I was just hoping to get some fast settings.  I got mine in the mail yesterday and just fooled around with it for a while and found some settings that work for me.  I would say to get one if you are in the market for it Stumpe.  It only took 2 days to get to me, but I live in Washington just North of where Natural Pointe is located.

I got mine today but setting it up is not easy, havet wraped my head around the setting yet. The position of the LEDs differs from the ordinary setup, so im having problmes just getting the head movement to correspond to what im doing. Have have you other TrackClip Pro users solved that? Sharing is caring :)

EDIT: Had chosen the wrong 3-point thing, cap instead of clip, back to configing now

Hi guys!

USMCBEANS, I need help! I bought TrackIR clip and I can't find right position for my webcam (MS 1000VX). The main trouble is that when I turn my head up or down two of three red dots (in FreeTrack camera window) are merging in one. So FreeTrack "looses" one red dot. You can imagine what does it mean. It's very irritates me.

May be the dots are too big? I tried to cover my camera objective with additional film, but FreeTrack is unable to track the dots in this way.

By the way, I have 20 fps max and I can't reach higher fps. :(

Thank you for your advises.

P.S. Who knows if TrackIR camera has the same problem with merging some dots in one while tracking the clip? I saw some video on YouTube with the guy who turned his head on 180 degrees and there wasn't any "freezes" or tracking "looses". Is that true?

Hello,

This has to come from the position of your webcam.
The webcam has to be directly in front of you and at the same height of your head. The better is when it's on the front of your monitor.

TrackClip Pro working fine here with FreeTrack 2.2 via a Wiimote on Vista 64.

Update...  Well, "fine" was probably generous.  It works, but it is not as smooth as it ought to be.  As it has been pointed out in other threads, it is probably a case of the TrackClip Pro's IR LEDs not being the best wavelength for getting through the Wiimote's (visible light) filter.
