Today I finally got mine as well! What joy! It sure took its good time tho. Not Marcus fault, his service has been nothing short of excellent. One thing that is a problem for me is high cpu use with a M$ VX3000 camera. I am working on that one tho, and hopefully I will find some settings that will do the trick before the weekend.

Ok, I won't be able to fill anymore orders until my led's arrive. I can complete the ones I have now, but no more than that.
I'll get these shipped off on monday, and then I have to wait on my led's

hi ! My ordered cap has been arrived ! But no way to make it work !! My first try was a R6 AA 1.2V rechargeable battery and it had on fire !! I tried with LR6 1.5V alkaline and I can't see the leds on my webcam nor on the wiimote camera.
Do you test all caps before sending them ? What can I do now ? help me please

Oops, I just placed an order before reading the end of this thread. I hope the wait to get my cap in the UK isn't too long.
I'm very glad someone is offering this service though, I have wanted to use FreeTrack for a long time now but never got round to building a head set.

I did the same thing Tommy lol
I dont mind waiting though as i already built a temp cap the blue peter way lol. 3 old tv remotes some speaker wire, insulation tape and an AA battery. works great.

I assume you took the IR LEDs out the remotes rather than taping them to your head?

I do test every cap before shipping. Fire? What was on fire? A 1.2 rechargeable does not have enough power the run the leds. Send me a pm and I'll see what I can figure out.

Just lost an auction for a TrackIR and I thought, this is way too expensive for something so simple. There has to be a better way! So I stumbled onto your site and here I am! I'm taking apart my webcam and ordering a cap from here.
I'm also looking forward to 2.2 and hooking up a Wiimote for 100 fps low CPU use. Great site you have here and Kudo's on the excellent software!
