sounds like "the sonorous one" could be strongly related this one, but even after (maybe?) solving the riddle i have not the faintest idea about reason of the problems described

And when you dont use it it work? Without changing anything else? Strange problem, I dont think it's Freetrack related. You certainly messed up something in the IL2 Mods install. Did you install it with the Soundmod or the Mod Activator? Did you use a "MODS" folder for it?

if you GOT a standard un-MODed game v 4.05. -nothing should go wrong.

I dont see, how the Audio IN/OUT-put can be disabled by FT, sounds very strange to me too.

Have you got sound at all, on your PC -(not playing IL2/useing FT).
-did the jack-connction drop out of the socket, could be the simplest solution, but im guessing wild.
support FREETRACK developers, the do it FREE for you -HELP them/yourself help others.
-another fun DIY thing to do, works with Free-Track too, HAVE A LOOK

Maybee a problem with your camera software/driver who take the lead on the game? Just a suggestion...
