After installing my Microsoft VX-1000 Webcam software, my Colin McRae Dirt does not start anymore.

After doubleclicking the Dirt Icon, the screen gets black, but the intro does not start.

Before installing the webcam the game worked perfectly.

Any help here for me?

Hi Kestrel! Are you the guy who made free-track? Thank you very much for this great program!

Dirt does not even work when Freetrack is not running. So it seems to be not really a freetrack-problem, but i thought somebody perhaps could help me here ...

After installing the game I installed my logitech steering wheel software, everything was perfect, the game worked.

Then I installed the Microsoft VX-1000 webcam software and freetrack, and Dirt does not start anymore. Screen goes black and nothing happens. Intro does not start. I have to kill the Dirt.exe in the Task Manager. Video codecs must be ok because intro worked before. Harddisk is not compressed.

This happens in XP and in Vista (dual boot system). I am not able to deinstall the Webcam, since a webcam task "VX1000" is always visible in the taskmanager, even after i deinstalled the microsoft webcam software ...

So I am not able to play the game anymore, even without freetrack ...  :snif:

Ok, i found out that freetrack IS the problem, same as here http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=572

I renamed NPClient.dll and Dirt is working again, but freetrack of course not.

What can I do to have both?

I have the same problem.

Colin mac rae Dirt don't work with freetrack !

i think the problem is npclient.dll !

Do you have a solution ?

I just tried the demo of dirt with freetrack. But how can I have 6DOF ???

Do I need to install some plugin or profile?
