Hello,

I have a big problem. In freetrack, when it's enabled, I have max 10 fps, no matter what I do. I have changed capture resolution, exposure, quality and other things. Non of these things help to raise fps, it's still 10 fps.

I have up to date drivers.
I disabled all rpograms, leaved most needed ones.

Im out of ideas. Anyone can help me ?

Have you a "fluorescente light 50Hz - 60 hz" feature enable in your webcam drivers ?
So you must disable it ....

have you an IR filter in your webcam (because it's better if you have it !) ... less CPU usage you have, more fps you have ...

Have you last directx version ?

Try to change RGB compressor in stream to I420 ...
Try to change resolution to 320 x 200 or less ...

if you have quality option, try to reduce it to 0,100

try to disable auto exposure feature (by force exposure button) ...

- Genius Cam NB - Auto Exposure cannot be disabled.
- Genius GE-111 - 11-15fps max
- Trust WB-3100p - Auto Exposure cannot be disabled.
- Digital Product SM0121 - Auto Exposure cannot be disabled.
- Sangha LTI-355 - Auto Exposure cannot be disabled.

I have set those options to outdoors, as someone recommended on this forum, but on every option, any configuration I try it's the same.

My webcam dont have any IR filter in it , I just putted the negative in front of the lense. It captures my IR LEDs with no problem.

I have latest Dx's

RGB / I420 is the same, no diffrence, still 10 fps, no less, no more.
No effect on changing the resolution.

No quality options.

I have tried max, mid and minimum exposure (bar with like 10 options from 1 to 10) in my camera options and tried the force exposure bar too. No diffrence, still 10 fps constantly. When I go too far with lowering the exposure level, it stops catching IR LEDs, so the screen is blank (no capturing from freetrack) and fps go up to 30 and stays that way, until I I go up with exposure so webcam detects IR LEDs and fps go down to 10 again.

About the choice, I don't know, but someone says it's a bad choice because of no auto exposure disabling option, but my webcam is newer version and it has the option.

ALL webcams have an IR filter.

You need to set the exposure at the 30fps point.
Move the threshold in FreeTrack to the left to increase light sensitivity.
If you still can't see the leds your webcam must have an IR filter that is too strong and you'll need to remove it.
The IR filter is either a piece of plastic or a special lens coating.
If you're successful please report back so the webcam can be added to the list of compatible webcams.
