Why is it, when I first load FT, and click 'Start' it asks me 'are you sure you want to close FT'. Is there a setting I have set incorrectly, or is this a bug?

Thanks for anyones help.

I have no idea, but here are some things that can help.

Is your webcam plugged in and is it working in Windows?
Have you installed the correct drivers for your webcam?
In FreeTrack, have you selected your camera in the pulldown menu?
Have you tried uninstalling  and re-installing FreeTrack?

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply BAAB... Freetrack works great otherwise, as long as I click 'no' on this screen, the only problem is i need to reconfigure the webcams brightness/contrast levels to make sure just the 3 light points are picked up by FT. (I couldn't find ir LEDs so am using normal red ones). I have to do this before every session on fsx. My experience goes like this...

1. Open ft.
2. Click 'start'... webcam configuration screen (showing last saved configuration)  opens. 'do u want to close ft' dialogue box also opens.
3. Click 'no'. Configuration resets meaning I have to adjust webcam property sliders again to get best settings.
4. Click 'center' in ft to set correct alignment
5. Open fsx etc, etc.

It no massive deal, it'd just be nice if ft and the webcam configuration screen remembered previous settings to save a bit of time.

That is not normal, I never experienced that.
Have you tried to press the reset button in the global tab?
Note that this will remove any changes you made in the default profile so make a backup of it if you want to keep your settings.

Is your cam a Logitech? this is a known problem.

Solved by renaming the Logitech panel exe file.
