The guys that made IL2 Sturmovik have a new game coming out soon, Cliffs of Dover.

There's a big thread on the 1C forums about this, it devolved in the usual internet bickering, but whether or not freetrack works in CloD will determine whether I buy it or not. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Yes, it is working. I bought Yuplay version and Freetrack with 6dof works fantastic.

Does it use the freetrack interface or an old trackir interface?

Go into the "output" tab in freetrack and make sure "trackir interface" is unchecked and "freetrack interface" is checked. Then, go into the game and test out your head tracking. If it works then it must use the freetrack interface to recieve the signal. If not, it must use the trackir interface.

It appears to use a pre-encryption trackir interface. Works out of the box with the trackir interface enabled in freetrack. Requires no patching of the game.

I bought il-2 cliffs of dover yestardy and have been playing it on high settings without any problems other then trying to find out how to play online

I know that you can use tracker IR-5 i think its called

I have tryied to make a free track head unit about 8 months ago 3 point system
right ear area top of head and left ear area ..It worked abit however i never really mesured the distance Y and Z etc and the movements were wayyy off

I'm thinking of doing a 3 point one side (ear) system and redownloading freetrack
and start again

BTW : North America doesn't get Cliffs of dover (download ) till April 26th if you pre order it from Ubisoft which is a waste of time  ( justflights) has it ready ..The download takes about 1 hr 45 mins on a good computer

I'll post the out come in the next few days

any questions about the game just ask..new patches on the game have been out for better fps and more coming
