On the download page for freetrack 2.2 I found "New games and cameras are supported, notably full 6DOF in FS2004"

I have spent 2 days trying to get 6dof in fs2004, but no mater what I do I only have 4dof. So, is it possible to get 6dof in fs2004? If yes, how on earth I can do that? Can somebody post idiot proof instructions?

Hi :D

Just download the TrackIR software from their website
here:
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06-support/support-download-software-and-manuals.html

Install it on your system.
Then go into install directory and copy the "TIRViews.dll" and paste it
into your freetrack install directory.
Now you can deinstall the TrackIR software.

Then in freetrack output settings choose only the TrackIR method.
Leave the rest unchecked.

Now you have 6dof support for FS2004

Kind regards
George

Hi greifer13!
Id did exactly what you wrote.
And it does work!
BUT
Now, there are always shocks in the frame. The picture is shocking nearly every second, although all parameters are o.k.
I can´t help it, it just does not work.
And there´s another point. Everytime i open FS2004, FreeTrack automatically checks the FreeTrack interface...

Who knows an answer?

Just quickly

If you have active camera installed as well as freetrack, they conflict, Cant recall the fix but google it, the answers there.
Hope you fix it..  :)

Hmm, i don´t have Active Camera, but FSRecorder.
I removed it, but it didn´t work...
Then I clicked here and there and now: it does work with 6 DOF!

Don´t know what i did, but thanks for the hint!
