Class : Apprenti Posts : 9 Registered on : 11/07/2010 Off line	Hello everyone, I have recently purchased my WebCam and IR LEDs for use with the FreeTrack Software. I intend to use the Software & Cap System with FSX. This is my WebCam, the Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/digitalcommunication/productdetails.aspx?pid=001 These are my chosen IR LEDs: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=2253 I want to use 3 LEDs in a 6DOF configuration. Another question, I'm not sure if I've understood the manual correctly, but will placing two LEDs 30cms apart with one inbetween (thats 15cms between 3 LEDs) work with the Software? Finally, will all of what I want to achieve work sucessfully with FSX? Thanks alot, Jack

You need proper value resistor(s) to power source volatge and LED connection type (serial or paraler). Another question, I'm not sure if I've understood the manual correctly, but will placing two LEDs 30cms apart with one inbetween (thats 15cms between 3 LEDs) work with the Software? You can change model dimensions in freetrack so its not stick to 30, 15 etc. Generaly bigger model is more sensitive to head movement but big model also cut X Y translations. ps3eye CLeye driver FIX for FreeTrack 2.2.0.279

Class : Apprenti Posts : 9 Registered on : 11/07/2010 Off line	Oh I understand. So the dimensions in the manual aren't necessarily "strict". They are reccommended but not modelling to these specifications won't cause any severe adverse side effects?

Class : Apprenti Posts : 9 Registered on : 11/07/2010 Off line	EDIT: Problem solved. I had missed the "Centre" button. Happy to report FreeTrack is working wonders on W7 64-Bit, Microsoft VX-3000 Cam and 6-DOF 3 LED condiguration!!! Edited by VOZzer on 14/07/2010 at 01h22.
