I had no idea Need for speed shift had support for track IR. Youtube is full of videos showing track IR working in the game, 6 DOF.
Is there a way to fix the .exe for freetrack, like someone did for ARMA 2, DIRT 2 and so on? I really wanted freetrack in nfs shift....and for me there is also no way to emulate virtual joystick (the game doesn't give the possibility to config view keys, and PPP joystick anyway doesn't work in VISTA). So, what's the solution for us, freetrack users? Fixed exe ? |

You need NFS SHIFT Camera Control.

Read the replies in this thread: http://www.racedepartment.com/need-for-speed-shift-mods/27506-download-shift-camera-control-v1-4-a.html
you don't have to copy the d3d9.dll file in the NFS shift folder, I think this is for the overlay of the tool when you press <num>*, it is disabled in v 1.4. So you can use your own setup-directory for the NFSSCC tool. just launch Freetrack, NFSSCC and then NFSS (use a small windowed version of NFSS, so you can also use the tool for adjusting FOV etc) I use Vista 64 bit, but it should work in Windows 7. The tool is still buggy when exiting a race .... |
