Hi!
I have installed Freetrack v2.2.0.279 un my Laptop with Windows 7 32 Bit.
When i want to start the Programm, this Error appers:

Hi!
I changed my display settings to 96dpi and if i run freetrack now, nothing happens. but after about 15 seconds, this error appers:

If i click ok, the freetrack-process in the taskmanager runs at 100% of cpu usage on one of two cores (--> both cores together run at 50%), but nothing happens.
the same thing if i run freetrack as an administrator.
But why???

Try turning of UAC in control panel and running it.
Failing that uninstall and reinstall my be an option (but I bet you've already tried that!)

Version 2.1 of Freetrack works, but I need v2.2 because i want to use a wiimote.
Pleeeeease Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can zoom the text: 125% or 150%.
Return the default 100%
Start-Control Panel-Display
reboot

Hi all, i have similar problem with access violation. I have Win7 x64 and freetrack 2.2
This three error messages are poping up when i want to start freetrack.
Access violation at adress 00402272 in module 'FreeTrack.exe'. Write of address 4029B311
Access violation at adress 00402230 in module 'FreeTrack.exe'. Write of address 4029B341
Exception EAccessViolation in module FreeTrack.exe at 00019779 Access violation at address 00419779 in module 'FreeTrack.exe'. Read of address 40239CA6.
After this, freetrack is running in taskmanager, but actualy i cant see its user interface.
I tried change my DPI settings, but it didnt solve my problem.
Very interesting thing about this is, that it didnt happened before i have reinstalled my windows. I have same hardware, (except hdd - reason why i have reinstalled OS), same
version of win 7, same camera (VX-1000) same everything...
I really dont understand why? Why it worked before reintallation, and after it doesnt? Aargh!!!

A lot of things in W7 require being run in compatibility mode and/or as administrator...some games I've encountered even need you to run integral PORTIONS of them (usually apps connecting to the game server) as admin, nitro9...if you haven't already, I'd go to the file location where you've got FreeTrack installed, and tell the program to run as administrator.

Vonov thanks for advice, but i have already done this. I tried to run freetrack as an administrator and in all possible compatibility modes, but it did not solved problem 
For the time till this issue will be solved, i am using previous version of freetrack (2.1.2). This version works for me, but still cant run my cam (vx-1000) over 20fps. Before it gaves 30fps

I have had exactly the same problem with v2.2. Access violation error, then it sits in my task manager and has to be stopped manually.
Win 7x64
Intel i7 930
nvidia 460 gt
I have tried all kinds of compatibility modes, from win xp to vista and running as an admin and I just get the same error. It installs fine on my winxp tablet, just not on my win 7 desktop.
Please help...

No nobody comes to help. I have the problem for months. No solution yet.
That 96 dpi trick does not solve this issue.
But for you information. I have installed a win7 64bit as a vmware virtual pc image. I run the 279 there and it just fine. No error message.
As the message itself says there is probably an other software which access the same addresses. Maybe a .dll version issue under system32/syswow64 etc. could not able to figure out myself.
and... also I have managed to run it somehow for 2 or 3 times without error. Weird thing. But %99.99 dead.
