i dont know if you have seen this but there is a library call OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision), it is a library of programming functions for real time computer vision, i´ve seen some projects that use this library for head, face and eye tracking, maybe it could be usefull for you guys at freetrack to make an interface or a pragram that use face tracking instead of the led markers
