Hello,
I've downloaded and installed FreeTrack recently and I've encountered an issue. Here is what I do: 1. Connect a WiiMote to the PC via Bluetooth (using BlueSoleil 6.4.275). 2. Start FreeTrack, select Wii Remote as the tracking device. 3. Start tracking. Everything works ok at this point, I can see my IR diodes being tracked (though I don't see head movement, but I saw a thread about this, so I'll check it). 4. Stop tracking, everything ok. 5. When I try to start tracking again, I get a BSOD. My specs: Vista Home Premium 32bit with SP2 AMD Turion ZM82 4 GB RAM ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 Thanks in advance for the help! |

Yep i get the same i have assigned a button press for pause & resume works a few times then once i press the button to resume BSOD. I also tried using a keypress instead of a joystick button press but same results..I am using wiimote with bluesoleil 6.4.275 & FS2004. I have also tried using a diffrent bluetooth dongle but still happens to both. the tracking is really good but pain in the a** In flightsim the pause is a must when trying to tune radios etc etc. I used to use a microsoft vx1000 with the same install of fs2004 with no problems. Have also tried freash install of freetrack & bluetooth software bluesoleil etc etc. I am currently using a Dlink 120 dongle.any help with this would be great Thanks guys...

Instead of pausing tracking which stops the wiimote and causes the BSOD, leave the wiimote tracking and disable the output you are using via hotkey. If you are using the TrackIR output, the default hotkey is Ctrl Alt F2.

I had this for the first time last night also .
Win 7 x64 Bluesoliel 6.4.275 Wii mote and Belkin BT dongle thought it was a bit strange, was my first BSOD under normal operation. Nice to know I'm not alone, but also not a good issue to have freaky |

Yep this works Thanks Zaphod, make sure maintain paused data is unchecked under profile advanced as this will make it snap back quickly to front forward view when disabling output via hotkey Nice work Zaphod, was gunna have early night but now I gotta Have a fly Cheers.....

You could also try updating to the latest Bluesoleil 6.4.299 (strange that all three of you are using 6.4.275) which I haven't had any problems with myself.

Ok Updating bluesoleil to 6.4.299 seems to have fixed the pause/unpause issue. Nice!!!! as i was able to replicate BSOD with the older version of bluesoleil by sitting in virtual cockpit pausing/unpausing looking around for a few mins then pausing & leaving it paused for say 10 15 mins , then on return unpause & bang BSOD. Now this doesent seem to happen with the latest bluesoleil. Tonight i will try a full flight 2-3hrs orso with freetrack & see how it goes.. Thanks again Zaphod for all your help with this very much appreciated.. Cheers....

Bugger !!!! Thought the update of bluesoleil had fixed it but, it returned half way though a flight tonight.. Looks like will have to go back to disabling the output with hotkey, It is a strange one though as i had a flight the other night with no problems atall pausing/unpauseing a number of times.. Thanks for all the help anyways guys. maybe a complete freash install of win 7 & flightsim might do the trick... very daunting task reinstalling almost 20 gig of flight sim
Cheers.. |
