Ok, im stumped. Your manual says the PPJOY emulation has been successfully teste with FSX. I've followed the instructions exactly, but do not understand what i need to calibrate the virtual joystick to when mapping it the first time, cause when i go to calibrate it with the Game controllers area in the control panel, the "virtual joystick" isn't getting any info from FreeTrack, so im assuming that PPJOY and FreeTrack arn't communicating
Could you please post up what settings and steps you guys did to get it to work, cause this is killing me not been able to use it

I need to find a way to makes this work with FSX too, any good tips?? works only with PPJoy?

I had the same issue when trying to set it up. I ended up removing and adding the virtual joystick repeatedly before something "took". I would like to say it had something to do with having freetrack turned off when setting up ppjoy and the virtual joystick, then starting up freetrack. But I'm not really sure. In any case, I was not able to fine tune the joystick mode where I found it comfortable to use in FSX. (Works great for me in 6dof mode in Aces High II though.)

Too bad I can´t use it in FSX, I´d like to have free view at Virtual Cockpit mode. But it´s not that of a loss, I can live with it.  |

for my part, I can confirm that FSX 6DOF is coming soon !! and it's working great !
in the mean time, I have read on a thread (PPJoy + Vista) that a guy had 6DOF plugin for FSX. the admin close the thread and I don't know much about it! Maybe the guy who talked about it, mistunderstood the functionnality of ppjoy, or maybe I didn't understand that 6DOF was possible with it.
But for sure, for all the settings I tried. the best thing you can do at this moment is using Freetrack in Virtual Mouse mode! Then start your flight and press Shift + O (that a oh and not a zero) that would activate the "Mouse view mode". this mean that freetrack will control the mouse, and FSX use the mouse mouvement to Pan the cockpit view. So you'll get a real smooth 2DOF view !
try it, and tell us if you have trouble with it !

For my part, I just need to have a 2DOF function, it´s ok with me as long it works, I´ve tried 6DOF and I don´t think I will ever get used to it. Just the simple left-right up-down without the coolie works fine for me.
But it´s good news the FSX news, can´t wait!

The thread is now open, it was an error.
Inamat tried to interface FreeTrack and FSX using SimConnect. But when he knew the next version of FreeTrack are supporting DOF with FSX, he stopped his research.

I have been using FreeTrack with PPJoy in FSX without any problems. I have tested the 1, 3 and 4 LED systems, but prefer the 3 LED headset mounted system.

so is it possible to get more than 2DOF with Freetrack and PPJoy for FSX or not ?
I know 6DOF is coming through simconnect , but I'm really curuious to know how it's possible to get 6DOF or less with ppjoy ? (but more than 2 of course !!!

I think inamat picked up the Tir2Joy data to use them with Simconnect.
