Is there specific length I need to have the rods at when building the 3point?
I believe freetrack will work better if you use the pre-set measurements (look in "model" tab of the software)
And I am using regular IR led's, not the really short kinds, I have heard about shimming the LED's down, but how far to I need to grind them down, and once it's ground down do I need to do anything else, because it's probably going to be fairly rough?
Gring down to about 1.5mm from the diode itself with a file or some other method (I used high grit sand paper) then use very fine wet 'n' dry sand paper to get the casing clear & smooth again.
