Hi,

I have been using this wonderful software for some time on XP 32bit and it worked without issues. I have recently upgraded my PC and installed the latest version of freetrack(2.2.0.279). The problem is that it does not work, but I can still run the previous version of freetrack(2.2.0.267) just fine.

Here is a screen shot of the problem, the webcam is working and the dots move, but no tracking is happening. No matter which default profile I try or making a new one.

It does this in either version of windows. The new free track is installed on a separate hard drive from the old version.

System specs:

Computer Type    ACPI Multiprocessor x64-based PC
Operating System    Microsoft Windows XP 64 AND 32
OS Service Pack    Service Pack 2
Internet Explorer    6.0.3790.1830
DirectX    4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)

Motherboard
CPU Type    DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3000 MHz (9 x 333)
Motherboard Name    EVGA E175
Motherboard Chipset    nVIDIA nForce 750i SLI
System Memory    Kingston 4096 MB  (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM)

Display
Video Adapter    NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+  (512 MB)
Monitor    Plug and Play Monitor [NoDB]

Not sure if more info is needed or if this is a known issue, I did not find a similar problem when searching.

Hum .... Try to change compressor type and last directX version

another idea : Try to register OCX filters manually with regsrv32 command :
(Freetrack.exe should auto register ocx at start ... I don't know why it doesn't work on your computer ...)

Regsrv32 filename.ocx

example :

Regsvr32 FreeTrackFilterSSE2.ax
Regsvr32 FreeTrackFilterMMX.ax
Regsvr32 D3DX92ab.dll

check NPClient.dll path on windows registry ...
and FreeTrack Client :

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freetrack\FreetrackClient]
"Path"="C:\\Program Files\\FreeTrack\\"

If you have more than one freetrack installed you must indicated correct path of your freetrack installation you used ...

You can't add more than one path ...

Thank you very much!

Registering the OCX manually did the trick

Thanks again for your help!

Greetings all -

I'm new to Free-track and this is the problem I seem to be having.  Webcam is working and I see 3 dots, but no head movement.  I'm running Windows Vista SP1 64 bit.

I'm not very good at command line stuff, so if someone could do a very basic explanation of how you register the OCX manually that would be great!!   Hopefully that does it - I can't wait to get this working!

Thanks,

Clay

Hi Fenek,

I have the same Problem when I use 2 Monitors. I solved the Problem with using Nview and run my 2 monitors as one big one (1600x600). For windows now it is only one monitor now. Its not the best solution (flying in 800x600 and the instruments at another 800x600 screen) but it works.

Hi everybody !

I´m quite new with FreeTrack.
First of all congrats to the Develop Team ...Way to go !!! Amazing.

Now the problem:

I´ve everything working on Splitcam and Freetrack, calibration and sensivity but, FreeTrack is not interfacing with FS9. No movement on it.

I´ve followed the procedures described by babasior "Latest Software problem."

The only thing I got an error was when trying to register
" Regsrv32 D3DX92ab.dll" with the following message:

C:\Arquivos de Programas\FreeTrack\D3Dx92ab.dll was loaded, but the entry point DllRegisterServer was not located. The file could not be registered.

FSPUIP installed and registered
In OUTPUT PARAMETERS :

FreeTrack Interface is checked
TrackIr Interface not checked
FSUIPC - FS2004/FS2002 Checked

I tried to use TrackIr interface checked, but with the same result: No moves on FS9.

Does anybody know how to solve this ?
Is there anything that I would do  in FS9 or Rfactor ? (it does not work in any application)

Note:
Brand new installation of Win XP SP2
No antivirus installed
FS9 installed, no Add-on installed yet.

Now the windows box info:

Thanks in advance and best regards !

Anybody having no tracking problem try resetting your configuration file.
It worked for me.

I'm brand new to FreeTrack so, first of all, my deepest respect to the developer team. I'm completely impressed, shocked and amazed by the videos I've seen so far. Unfortunately, I'm having the same problem as others. When trying to run the program I got "freetrackfiltersse2.ax error, and when trying to manually register the ocx I'm getting the same as oxy-moron and jcsalles. Exactly the same messege. :(

Please, is there anybody who could shed some light on this? Any advice/suggestion/help will be highly appreciated. I'm eagerly looking forward to having everything working the way it's supposed to.

@apocalypse... HOW DID YOU SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM!!!

Thanks in advance and trillion thanks to the developers.

PS: I'm running Windows XP SP3, Intel dual @ 2.3, 2 GB ram, GeForce 9600 GT

Hi Folks,

I am running vista premium and I have installed the latest version with little luck :

I get a successful install - but when i run the app - nothing happens - i can see in the task manager that the process freetrack.exe is running at 50% cpu - but no window ever appears - i went to the older version and it seems to work?

I have tried manually registering the ocx's - that works, but as for the dx9.... dll file - i get the error posted by someone else that it cannot be registered - I am very excited to use this - anyone know the fix for my situation?

Cheers,
Sean

I'm having the same problem he is but I have no clue what you mean above.

Can you break it down a little bit more?
