Hi. Guys, thank you very much for the great work that your team done!

I've been trying to use a non-web camera with the FreeTrack in order to get more than 30 FPS. Seems, such cameras will give  more accuracy when searching or aiming an enemy in flight sims and loads our eyes less. My LCD screen gives 75 FPS (some have 85-120 for CRT monitors) and it would be better to take similar frequency from a tracking system to have viewing more smoother and comfortable. I also don't want to use a BlueTooth solution (Wii) because of not healthy radiation from it.

Now I connect LCL-902K Black/White High-Sensitivity CCD Security camera via a video capture PCI card and still can not see it as Source of video in FreeTrack. Pleomax Web camera works correctly with 29-30 FPS. Does FreeTrack work with webcams only?

My spec is:

Core2Duo 2 GHz/1024/8800GTS-512
Windows XP SP2 32 bit
Video capture PCI card drivers successfully installed. The camera is connected via coaxial cable to the capture card.

This camera and the video capture card works under this specification in other application and FPS is adjustable there up to 60!

What about such source of video support in FreeTrack? Had anyone any experience in using such devices with FreeTrack? Is it really better 60+ FPS than just 30?

Bluetooth is a very low power RF specification.  I can see where some people have concerns over folks wearing trancievers upon their heads (ie. Bluetooth telephone headsets).  However, to use a Wiimote-based FreeTrack, the transceivers are at the computer and wherever you place the Wiimote (typically on top of your display).  The radiation dose / power level drops off in an inverse square relationshipn with distance from the source.  In other words, you shouldn't be getting an exposure that could remotely (pardon the pun) be considered an unhealthy level.

That being said, good luck with the non-web camera approach!  Alternative solutions are good options to have, so long as it doesn't drain valuable developer time away from the aspects of FreeTrack that need the most attention.
