Hello, I'm trying to use FreeTrack but I always got a crash when clicking on start even if I try to use the "Demo Video". I'm running the last revision of FreeTrack on a Windows XP SP3 machine with a Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 @ 2.4GHz and 2Gb of ram. My video board is an ATI Radeon HD2600 XT.
Any hint?

Weirdgyn,

I have exactly the same problem could you find a solution to yours? Anybody FreeTrack programmers looking at this?

I have the same problem with v2.2 under WinXP SP3. But I've noticed that it'll work with the Freetrack.ini from v2.12. I don't know what's actually wrong here, but whenever I reset the config in v2.2, it'll stop working again. So back up your current Freetrack.ini (most likely in C:\Program Files\FreeTrack) and replace it with the following text from default v2.1.2. Hope it helps you!

Nevermind, this doesn't seem to work. Check my next post.

Well, that doesn't seem to work now. But what does seem to work every time is installing v2.1.2, but since I need to use TIRViews.dll (RBR kicks ass), I need v2.2. Upon installing v2.2 to the same directory that I just uninstalled v2.1.2 from, leaving all the old files there (Freetrack.ini [created after Freetrack has run successfully and exited] and the Profiles directory), v2.2 would work until I reset the configuration. I'm still on the whole trying to figure this out, I haven't even built my point model yet! (starts digging around for spare leds)

Yup, I had the same issues. The way i fixed it (apparently) was to unplug the camera, plug it back then start it up again.

Alright. I seem to find my problem. It's because of the video format my webcam uses. I installed windows 64bit and installed the driver for 64 bit and the driver is set to use MJPEG. Before on 32 bit version, it uses RGB24. So it seems to be the webcam driver I have.

So for other people that have the same problem. This could be the solution.
