Hi
I just wanted to know whether Freetrack works in FS2004 by moving your head? If it doesn't, will there ever be updates so it will work by moving your head? Thanks Nick |

Not directly, you have to use PPJoy to map the Freetrack output to a virtual joystick and then assign view movements in FS2004 to the virtual joystick.
There currently isn't direct support because the FS2004 view control interface is unknown. |

So you have to use a joystick to move the view around?

Yes, a PPJoy virtual joystick. Have a look at the 'Joystick emulation' section in the manual. http://freetrack.online.fr/fichiers/manuel2eng.pdf |

Sorry, Im not quite sure I understand this.
***No offence intended*** but could you please give me a direct answer (if possible) Can you move your head with the LED headset, to look around in FS2004? Sorry to be a pain, I did read the Joystick emulation section in the manual, but it didn't say what it works with (a joystick, the LED head set) Thanks in advance Nick |

Yes. Freetrack is a head tracking program, it tracks head movements and outputs data in a variety of forms so that other applications can use it. The data can be sent to the mouse, to a virtual joystick and to games directly through a special interface. The latter is preferred, but since FS2004 doesn't support it, you have to use a virtual joystick as a go-between. Sorry, I'll try and be a little more ambiguous... I mean, disambiguous next time. |

Haha
So I'll start making the LED headset then! |
