I had the FreeTrack software working yesterday. I was working on some other software problems and had to reinstall .Net Framework 1.0. Now when I start FreeTrack I get a pop-up with this error:
Unspecified Error ($80004005)
FreeTrack starts anyways, but the camera frame is empty.
I've reinstalled FreeTrack 2.2 and DirectX, but still no joy.
Any ideas?

Interesting error. A few of us have been getting an access violation error that prevents freetrack from starting at all. I tried reinstalling .Net Framework 1.0 but it didn't seem to help so I gave up on that idea. But now I wonder if its an updated version (or something like that) that is actually causing it?

The error [Unspecified Error ($80004005)] refers to an inability to connect to a video device, i.e. webcam, video cam, dvd player, or receiver via a pass-through device, such as a USB hub, monitor connection, etc.
When you get this error, make sure that your webcam and/or USB hub, monitor or connection device is properly connected an powered on and that you have power and data connectivity to your receiver.
Hopefully this will remedy your error, and doesn't require reinstalling frameworks and OS's, before trying the simplest solutions.
