First of all, thank you very much for this awesome software and forum.
I bought a not Nintendo Wiimote here: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14237 It´s much cheaper than the original (32$ and free shipping) and a friend of mine told me it woks perfectly with the Wii console. But...when I finished building my 3 point tracking assembly, only appears two points at the same time. Wiimote always joins in one point the two nearest, then in the cam view I only see two points. I´ll post Pant caps to show what I mean but I´d like to know if someone had the same problem. Maibe I must use an original Wiimote $$ $$ Thank you again

the nintendo brand wiimote can track 4 points, even though it only needs to track 2 for the wii, the wu brand wiimote probably only does what it has to, 2 point tracking. so it seems you lucked out

Well. I always can sell this one and buy an original Wiimote, thank you.
At least this post is useful for people to AVOID BUYING NON-ORIGINAL Wiimotes. EDIT: Before renting an original Wiimote I can confirm that. If you only need 1 point (non modded il2 for example) the Wu-brand works perfectly, and it has more sensibility to the Ir led than the original. 5mm LED’S FORWARD VOLTAGE 1.4—1.6v FORWARD CURRENT 20m/a WAVELENGTH 850nm RADIANT INTENSITY 70 m/W/Sr AT If= 20m/a RADIANT INTENSITY 140 mW/Sr AT If=100m/a

My Wiimote tracks only 2 points, too. Bought from ebay, for 30USD..Is it FAKE or REAL?
Can it be connection problem? BlueSoleil Package Tiny CSR bluetooth dongle Freetrack 3points model WiinRemote Does it not seem like a real Nintendo?

It's most likely not an official Nintendo Wii Remote.
There's some comparison pics here: http://www.yyjoy.com/html/74/n-318274.html Nice clip btw. |

Hello,
last week i bougth a really original Wii Remote and it only detects two points. I bought it at buecher.de and it did cost ~39. Euro (EAN: 0045496890018). I did send it back but now i don't know who to buy a version that really works. (Sorry for my bad English. I'm a "Kraut") |
